My bro just screwed up his CPU....

he has, i mean had, an AMD 1.4 ... the 15 day warranty just ran out about 7 days ago ... is there anything he could do? I feel bad for him (at least, not that bad to buy him a new one). Please help! ANY suggestions will help!

what did he do, or what happened? you can replace the cpu. they're fairly cheap these days. I paid 180 for an 800 tbird when they first came out and now they're only about $50. You can get a new 1.4 for about $100 these days. You don't have to get the 1.4 if you're on a budget.

he didn't get to test it until a couple days ago...that's why it took him so long to test...he is going to get a new one but just wondering if there is anything else he could do besides replacing it.
