My bread smells like permanent marker pen!

i have a new loaf in my room at uni, i only bought it yesterday, i just opened it, and its got that whiff like the one you get off a permanent marker pen, that solventy smell, the bread still fresh and theres no mould, but seriously smells like you could get high just sniffing the bag!

is it still safe to eat?

guess it kills 2 birds with one stone, it feeds you and if u sniff long enough you get high
 
Perhaps it is so fresh it is still giving off yeast gas? Or maybe it is special bread that will make you stronger and smarter.
