My boyfriend just cleaned his kitchen counters for the first time in 7 months...

Wow... when he started cleaning them they released such a horrible smell.. the only way to describe it is poop. I am not kidding. You know, sometimes people say something smells like crap when it just smells bad, well, this time it actually smelled like that.

It took over the entire kitchen, the smell. He had to use 4 cleaners to get it all off, lysol, dish soap, 409, and some clean shower spray for good measure. Had to turn on a fan to blow the smell away. I almost lost my dinner the smell was so bad.

His apartment has 4 guys living in it.. he plans on cleaning the bathroom soon too. He has not done that in many months either. yuck!

:disgust:I had a friend who hadn't cleaned their apartment for 3 months and that place smelled like trash. Literally, it smelled like a big garbage truck - I can't even imagine how this would have smelt.

I would have just dumped bleach onto the counter top and let it sit. That should have done the trick and nuetralized the smell more or less.

BTW, congrats on having a slob for a bf.
