I remember my 18th (just) it's the only time I've ever been asked for ID to get into a pub and it happened on the night I was legally allowed heh. I'd already been going since I was 14 heh

I went to the casino on my 18th birthday and won $40 or so. Maybe go to a casino if the minimum age is 18 or else have someone buy you beer and get drunk with your friends.

21 to drink. 18 for tobacco. 17 to drive.

meh. hang out, have a party, whatever. never saw the big deal about birthdays.

I share a b-day with one of my best friends; we've had a pledge since we were 16 that as long as we're on the same coast on the same continent, we'd spend our birthdays together. once year I let her down was on my 19th birthday, when I was on a flight from NYC to Berlin. pretty sedate birthdays... I've never seen the point of making a big something out of a day.
