My Big Fat Greek Wedding & Amelie - $11+ each

I kind of liked My Big Fat Greek Wedding 😛

Hehe yah, careful though if you see it with a chick. Wedding movies + serious GF's = full court press on the finger jewelry with big rocks.

I think they can afford to sell it so cheap b/c they don't have to pay anyone for this movie (except the guy from Northern Exposure.)

Looking at their site and how to get items shipped, it becomes clear why Amazon is so successful. I find this site is not very intuitive.

Got the wedding movie anyway... ;-)

I heard this movie is real good. But ummm... the cover scares me and the movie doesn't look too inviting.

Amelie was fantastic.

If you don't feel like dealing with Canada, I think Amazon.com has it for a couple bucks more. Also deepdiscountdvd has it for 13.80. It is a preorder, at all places.

The movies are $25 Canadian Dollars which does not convert to $11 by any stretch of the imagination... More like around $16.50 which I guess is still not bad but you would have to wait 4-6 weeks via ground...🙁

I have ordered numerous times through DVDSoon, and have been very pleased with their service. A couple things to note:
  1. They will charge your credit card when they process the order. No need to get into an extended discussion about this, but you should be aware. It can suck if you are preordering things way out.
  2. On the plus side, they don't seem to jack up the prices on the release date like many other e-tailers do.
  3. Their prices vary wildly. One day, you will see it for $17 CAD then the next for $26 CAD, like what happened here. So, if you see a good price, jump on it. I have never had them fail to fill an order even if I got it for a much better price.
  4. For free shipping, you can either do the Canada Post Ground thing, or if you order some amount (I think it is $100 CAD), you can get free Express shipping.
  5. If you have stuff that you want shipped as it arrives, rather than when they get the entire order in, you can pay $1 CAD per title extra. Good for orders with varying release dates.
  6. If you order 4 or more titles at once, you get $1 CAD credited towards a future order.
  7. Watch out for titles that have (v.f.) in their description. That means that it is a special Canadian only release, and is in French.
  8. Just because it does not state (v.f.), many of the titles still have differences from the American counterparts. In particular, the "liner" notes will be in French and English, and the ads/discounts/free movie tickets inside may not work in the US.
  9. Disney titles there are about the best price you will find.
The biggest thing I recommend is to check their shipping/$$$ back offers BEFORE completing your order. The terms and conditions change often.

With the free shipping, they often times have some of the best prices going.
