My batteries not being fully charged? nimh battery charger light never turns green.

i have the free nimh 1400 mAh AA batteries from staples w/the charger. the charger light never turns green, no matter how long i leave the batteries in there for.

i know there is a green light because it did it for AAA batteries. but only once. since then no matter what battery i put in the charger, the light stays red.

Any ideas? also, how do i check what is charge on the batteries?

How long have you left them in there? Days?

Mine take up to 12 hours to charge.

yes, left the batteries in there for days. never seen the light go green.

FR, you have the same maxell batteries/charger from staples? does the light turn green for you?

for days? i don't think it takes any more then 12 hours mine takes about 5.

i have the panasonic one it take abuot 5 hours to charge. got it at costco for 20 bucks

I have an Energizer charger, but I charge the Maxell batteries in them.
