1) LOL that American banks still use paper deposit slips. WTF?

There are various ways to deposit money in US banks, and they don't all involve deposit slips. I think you'd find that New Zealand banks use paper slips in some cases.

Last time I looked (which was a little while back admittedly) I think most NZ banks still had them as an option

Exactly. I have plenty of cash in the bank right now so I probably wont even come close to using that money but if I can I will. That just means I have to blow my money before blowing theirs.

Nope, most banks here have done away with paper slips for deposits and withdrawals. But we were also WAY ahead of USA for electronic payment methods - people hardly carry cash any more.

That's probably a bit easier to do when there's one bank to change over.

you can make it easy, or you can make it hard, but the bank WILL get their money. if you are looking for 'payback', just dont bank there.
