My band is amazing.

If you're even reading this then props to you. This is a whorish band website plug, but hopefully it can live up to the unneeded expectation I set up for it when entitling the thread.

2 songs are in the purevolume, and we'd like to get any comments/critisisms you'd like to offer. Anything goes, but at least give it a shot.

We're all 16-18, by the way. I play bass.

Whoever is your vocals, they need to work on their transistions from line to line. It sounds choppy. The background singers don't seem to stay in-tune with the main guy. And the drummer seems to miss a few beats every now and then.

Finally some actual critisism. I agree, we had some serious drum problems, and some ended up on the final version. Being young, we ran out of money fast and we had to accept some problems with the drums. Our singer does need to work on the vocs quiet a bit in some parts, though we've grown to like the somewhat rushed feeling to it as it's somewhat unique comparing to popular bands of this era. Whether or not that's good or likable, time will tell.

Well what subgenre would that be? What bands are we compared to?

Whiney Sounding Emo.

Glassjaw did it better.

I like your bassist. He should find a better band 😛

Haha, well that's what college is for.

But I guess we could have chosen better songs to represent our overall sound. I didn't choose the songs to put on the web. Trust me, we try hard to get away from whiny sounding emo. Gah. I wish I could prove it. Influences?

Glassjaw (obviously), Opeth, Radiohead, Flaming Lips, Kalmah, Children of Bodem, the Emperor.

Now I'm just making excuses. Continue, please! 😀

one of my friend invited me to see your band perform once, but something about a school bomb threat and it was called off? Quite a while ago, i live in Richardson area, maby ill see yall sometimes. BTW i listen to nu-metal and rap-rock and just metal in general.
