It's like the McD's menu. It has the fruit and walNUT salad and underneath the picture it says (*Warning. Contains nuts). I don't get it.

I think people who are that dumb deserve to die. We need to weed out the stupid DNA and the first step is removing warning labels that are painfully obvious. Second step is stop allowing so many ridiculous lawsuits. The basis of a civil suit should be legality, not how pathetic and whiny the plaintiff is.

Mechanically separated chicken ftw!

(For this I imagine a Terminator robot working in the slaughter house literally ripping the chickens apart)

People with a peanut allergy who eat a bag of peanuts, deserve to die.

most of the time, peanut allergies are only discovered after the first nut has been consumed, but it usually happens quite young.

...still doesn't mean that specific warning on the bag isn't stupid.

Why are these peanut allergies so damn widespread these days? It's like all of a sudden everybody's allergic to peanuts. Back when I was a kid, everybody I knew was eating peanut butter.

I've maintained this for a while. We're going against nature and natural selection by protecting all those ignorant, braindead people and allowing them to remain in the gene pool. It's like finding the weakest in the herd and putting them in protective custody to make sure that they stick around. Who does that benefit??

We're only hurting humanity in the long run here, folks...think about it.

I think there's just a lot more awareness about it now.

it is one of the more serious food allergies.

I'm not sure it's been figured out yet. So far Pollution and GE Peanuts I have heard being suspects. There's also a large increase in Asthma, so I'm leaning towards some kind of Pollution being most likely....I'm no Doctor though.

queue the anti-vaccine nuts! just kidding...

as was mentioned, I think it's just more general public awareness. Or maybe as you grow older, you are now more aware? Probably not something that crossed your mind as a kid. Maybe you never asked that kid at the end of the table why he isn't eating a PB & J?

Exactly - its in the same league as Helmet Laws. Let natural selection take its course, and the dumb ones will be weened out.
