Very, very, Nice.

We have very similar tastes in bikes.

Actually, my taste is really varied. I like most bikes, if tastfully done. From stretched out slammed street rod choppers to crotch rockets to full dressers and high style cruisers like this. All are great. 🙂

For the last 15 years or so I've ridden crotch rockets. I figured it was time to slow down a bit. 😎

Though if I really had the money and time, I'd love to restore some old 30's and 40's bikes. Nothing beats an old and totally original knucklehead for style.

Those are fairly rare in the States as most of them were bought and shipped over to Europe back in the 80's

Really? 😕

What's the story behind that?

The Popularity of Harley Davidson Motorcycles and the limited availablility of New Bikes in Europe as compared to the US back then. A large portion of those older bikes boght by Europeans were bought by Scandinavians.

These days you can get a new Evolution Engine that resembles a Panhead or a Knucklehead. Hell in one of Discovery Channels Biker Buildoff Indian Larry special ordered one that had both the Pan and Knucklehead. It looked different to say the least.

Wow! You learn something new every day, huh?

Did the nords trash them, or are they being taken care of for the most part?

I've seen the reproductions. I'd use one if I was building an "old school" custom. But I'd still like a totally original 61E or F from the 30s or 40s. I think they were some of the most beautiful bikes ever made.

The Indians were prettier, especially the last years. But they had crap for an engine.

A lot of them turned into works of art!

You mean the original Indian Motorcycle Company?

Works of art, huh? I guess that's cool. So long as they're being preserved.

Yep, the original. The last few models they made in the late 40s and early 50s were the most beautiful. But their engines were really weak compared to the competition.
