My auto insurance premium has been going up since 9/11.

One year ago, I paid $270 for six month (full coverage with $500 deduction).
But last term, it was $327, and then this time I have to pay $360.
Does this happen to you?
Here is in Kentucky, and my insurance company is Progressive.

Since 9/11 every insurance company has gone up in premium. I would call the company, and ask if there are any discounts that you may be eligible for, or aren't recieving.

Most companies I deal with have one rate hike, setup to go in effect on a certian day. Then any other policys after that date will only be effected on their respective renewal dates.

Then again I don't deal with Progressive, unless it's involving another insureds claim.

The on going daily assult by the legal industry filing frivolous law suits and 9-11 are greatly impacting insurance rates. Medical insurance is under heavy attack by the parasite lawyers. We won't be able to afford medical coverage soon.

If it makes you feel any better, I pay $1900.00 a year for my 2002 Jeep Liberty, $1599.00 a month for health insurance for a family of 4 and $8900.00 a year for my bussiness insurance , GRAND TOTAL $ 29998.00 a year for insurance, wanna trade........

By the way , I live in Northern New Jersey about 5 miles from NYC................

Huh! :Q
After reading your post, I feel sorry for you.
I will not complain about my premium, and shut my mouth up.

Check to see if Progressive offers renters insurance. If they do, see how much of a multi-policy discount you would get. The discount I used to get was worth more than the cost of the renters insurance.

See if Progressive offers something similar.
