My Athlon 1800+ & Shuttle AK31 not booting up, please help!

Hi, I was trying to install my shuttle AK31 and my athlon 1800+, I got everything in. But when I boot up it beeps at me (long short short)!!! Does anyone know what the beeps mean? or what's going on? My monitor never gets a signal, and after a while, my whole system just turns off. Could it be my PSU? I haven't upgraded it in a long time (enlight 235W). Yes it's 235 W. I've never upgraded it because I've always had enough power to run everything...

consult manual or shuttle's website....

beep codes may be trying to tell you something....

I haven't heard of beep codes for not enough power...

1)reseat vid card
2)reseat memory...try one stick only
3)make sure cpu is seated properly


I think that power supply could be an issue now or down the road...I would think a good sparkle 300watt minimum would be nice

I wouldn't run an XP CPU with anything less than 300 watts.

turns out it works great with the 235W.

You need to stress that thing first....prime95 with 3dmark demo...burn a cd from harddrive while running some apps in the back ground....


You can't say it works fine yet....It may but it also maynot....Power issues are among the toughest to diagnos later on...
