Dude i have Oc'd my e6 and now its at 248x10.5 i have got the same set-up except i have an a8n-sli mobo. You should totally be able to do it.

-Are you changing the multiplier?

-Fix the timings if its wrong... It should work.

I don't blame him. I had a similar problem. I upgraded from an Athlon 64 3200+ to an Athlon 64 3800+ X2 and I went from being able to overclock from 2GHz -> 2.5Ghz on the Venice 3200+ to only being able to do 2GHz -> 2.1GHz. I tried every different configuration, even going as far as clearing my CMOS. It was at that point that I had it and decided to return the 3800+ X2 and exchange it for the same processor. The old processor was a Manchestor core and surprisingly the new one I got is a Toledo core. I've gone from 2.1GHz to 2.5GHz. I would rather not go higher until I receive a new Zalman fan I ordered.
