Meh. My dad's Explorer is three and a half years old and it's got over 100,000 miles on it. We've put 80,000 plus on it in the 2.5 years we've had it.

It also happens to be about 105mph...so it's pretty impossible everywhere.

I put about 30k on my car in 2 years and I only took my car on a long trip (600 miles) once. The rest was around town.

my dad's 95 sentra is in the area of 230,000. He drives 80 some miles to and from work everyday. (that's for both ways, not 80 some each way.)

It's pretty cool, seeing as how with the exception of gas, he's only had to put about $400 into it yearly, including things like oil changes and such.

WHOO for long-living cars!

The one time I was in New Jersey, on the Turnpike, I was getting passed at 85 MPH. I'd believe him if he said about 27- 30 minutes.

My 99 Expedition is sitting at about 97,000 miles. I bought it about 18 months ago with 40,000 miles :(

By contrast, my wife's 13 month old car has about 9300 miles on it. :D

Well, the 2 cars still have the original tranny in them... which is suprising but... hopefully they last for a while longer...

as for my truck, when we got it the tranny went out in it shortly afterwards. when the tranny was fixed, I ended up putting in new universal joints, new tires, new spark plugs, fixed the AC unit and converted it from R12 to whatever the standard is now, and then did some other work on it... engine doesn't use a bit of oil...
