My 6800 core suddenly refuses to clock up to 3d speed.

i was messing around with my clocks again and suddenly noticed that my core won't clock up to speed anymore when running apps....the settings in the nv panel and rivatuner stay at 420, but the hardware manager in rivatuner shows that the core clock is not moving when running 3dmark or eq2. i have been using 71.89's since they were released, and just recently started haveing the problem. i tried switching to 73.00's and that didn't help 😕

Its just the core too, memory is at whatever i set it at.

I'd clean install the drivers and riva tuner.

I suspect what you have done is alter a setting inadvertantly that has locked the clock speed.

i used driver cleaner when i installed the 73's and i just reinstalled rivatuner 15.5 and still no go.

ok i just started over.

i uninstalled drivers and rivatuner, booted into safe mode, ran driver cleaner, rebooted, installed drivers, rebooted, installed rivatuner, rebooted, softmodded, rebooted, then started overclocking. the first try everything seemed like it was working like normal. i eased the core up to 420, then rebooted and it now refuses to move from 325. Memory is still fine, at 845 atm.
