OK guys, here is the story, if you have not read some of my previous threads i will update you. i have had a series of bad events (typing this on my back up of my back up pc) and the most recent is the death of my 4200. I had just replaced my mobo after my PSU killed the mobo and it worked fine in 2d. i used it to install windows and it was on for about 3 hours in 2d, then after i went into 3d it worked for 10 minutes, then died. Fan still turning, but no picture, i cant even see the POST. I put my TnT2 and everything on the PC is working fine, cept the speed. Wierdest thing i ever seen. It is under warrenty and i will RMA it to new egg. they will send me a new retail one back. I was going to wait till Doom3 came out before upgrading my video. but i could dump my 4200 when it gets back and get a better card.
1. Theories on the death of the video card?
2. Theories on anypossible way to repair it? (prefer this to RMA, but its doubfull that it can be fixed)
2. How much could i expect get on Egay for a New Retail boxed ASUS 4200 128mb 8x
3. How much do you think i could sell it for around March of next year used.
4. Was my 4200 holding my system back?
current system
A7n8x deluxe
2500 barton (planning to hit 3200 once my cooling system is working properly again)
1gig corsair xms pc3200
