hi. i wanted to get my 3500+(130nm) running at 2.4 on my neo2 platinum. this is all i want i don't want any higher 🙂. I've got it at 2410mhz right now these are my settings, of first off here is my system stats neo2, 3500+ 130nm, and the pain 2 512mb sticks of kingston value pc3200 rated at 2.5-3-3-8. Now I have my settings as follows:

fsb: 219
htt: 4x
cpu voltage: 1.55
I set my ram to run at 166mhz and have ram timings at auto in bios my system on post reports my ram as 2-3-7-3-1t ddr333 179mhz.

Here's my question I have not yet tried setting my ram back up to 200. But feel my ram may not be able to manage. But it would be great if it could. What I'd like to know is, what do you think as per right now at 2.41ghz, 219fsb with my ram running at those speeds vs stock at 2.2ghz,200fsb, ddr400 200mhz 2.5-3-3-8 ... which is performing better for me ?

As far as sandra goes my arithmitec is up to fx-53 levels. but memory bandwidth is down to 5300 from 5900. please advise thanks. And i'd like to try my ram at 200 but could this fry it ?

quick update. i tried the ram at 200 i get errors when i get into windows and it crashes. try upping the voltage to the ram a bit too and its a no go. curious if lowering my multiplier to 10 and raising my fsb to 240 might be a better idea with my ram running at this slower speed ?

quick update now set to 166mhz in bios 177mhz on the ram (348) 2-3-3-7-1t
4x htt
fsb:225
cpu: 2473mhz
cpu voltage: 1.55

question my bios on post reports mem speed at 189 but cpu-z or sandra report it at 177 ? at normal stock this never happened. it was 200 reported by both.

btw my question still is do you think my system is performing better at this setting, with the memory 348Mhz and the cpu at 2473 than it is at 2.2ghz/400mhz stock ?

what will be better for performance ? my ram as it is now at 1t or ... nm I think obviously it will be much better at 2t and 219mhz right ?

another thing.. my cpu seems to overclock comfortably what would be better running it at 2.5 ghz with a 227fsbx11 and ram at 166 or running my system at 219x11 with ram at 200 if it works at 200 of course.

not sure what benches you're after: here are some though...
(video tests with 6800gt at 380/1000)

valve source stress test at 1600x1200 everything high, reflect world, 8xaf, 2xaa, no vsync: 86fps
doom3 timedemo1 at 1600x1200 everything on, 8xaf, 2xaa: 56fps

Sisoft Sandra-

CPU Arithmetic: 11078
CPU Multimedia: 23000 even
Memory Bandwidth: 5300 (this is lower than my 5900 at stock 200mhz 2.5-3-3-8-1t)

actually updated. I ran some tests and found that my machine is faster at the lower memory setting with the faster cpu speed.. current stats 😎 ,

fsb: 228
cpu mhz: 2506
cpu voltage: 1.6
htt: 4x
memory: Set to DDR333 166Mhz in Bios running at : 190Mhz 2-3-7-3-1t
cpu idle temp: load temp:
