My 300GB hard disks are filling up.

DVD burners are too expensive. I would rather get a new HD. I got 2 WD120SE for $122 a pop so it was good.

That's what I used to think. A DVD burner does more than you think. It burns DVDr, DVDrw, CDr, CDrw and plays CDrom and DVDrom. Like I said, media is only $1 for 4.7G which is just over 20 cents a Gig. NO harddrive can touch that. Plus, they never crash. BTW, I got my DVDRW for $229 at Mwave.

general rule of thumb is that you can never have enough pr0n, hehe. you could start your own spice channel in your house. haha

50xdvd's £100 (trust me)
time taken to burn - craploads
loads of time at £5.00 ph = £100

235 GB = £500 + loads of your time
£/GB = £2.13 / GB


Western Digital Caviar 200.0GB HD - £300
Time taken - diddly

200 GB = £300 + no time at all
£/GB = £1.50 / GB

£2.13/GB vs £1.50/GB for HD
 
I think you'd be better off not burning all of this 'stuff' to CDRWs since they're so small, but rather get a new harddrive. I've seen some pretty good 120GB for sale at less than $140, thus it wouldn't be over-expensive to get a couple of these, I think.
 
300GB of porn images is a lot.. too many little files.

As for the dvd burner... me like because I have no need to store everything on the HD at all times. Plus, i get to use it to burn movies. And getting the burner for $160 helps too 🙂 It all depends on what your particular needs are.
