I think it looks like a mother taking care of a sick child. As she wasn't feeling well that day, it was pretty relevant.

Not that I really have an opinion one way or the other, but anyone remember that website where the guy posts scathing, explitive-laden criticisms of kids' artwork that parents put on their desks? For some reason, this thread just reminded me of it.

As far as seeing anything in the pic, I made my best attempt to remove your "adjustments" to the picture and restore it to the original work of the "artist". Here's the pic

And, no I don't see anything in the pic. It might be good for use on one of those tests where they show you ink blots and ask what it looks like...

Also, I don't hate everything. I'm jsut more open with what I think than most people. I'm sure there's plenty of other people who just think it looks like scribbles, but don't want to say so because they're afraid they'll sound like they're being mean to a baby.

Well, you may think it's the Madonna and Child, like msot parents would, but as an objective third party, I think it looks like scribbles

I'm an artist myself, so "finding" something so profound (to me) in my daughters scribbles is beautiful.

Mom (or dad) is the artist here, not the kid. However, it's a lovely sentiment (especially if you have/want kids.)
