Well I got mine today and this is my first ever widescreen LCD, so my input may be potentially bias. I got very skeptical with the banding discussion in AToT and other forums as well. However, I am not a really big fanatic in graphics. I just needed a new monitor thats more spacy for my spreadsheets and gaming needs. I'm coming from a Sony SDM 17 inch to this 2007WFP. Although the vertical didn't really change, probably about 1/4" to 1/2" taller, but the widescreen is definitely making my life easier.
I tried running the gradient program that came from the other post and I end up getting this : link
Compared to what I've seen it is not as bad. I ran BF2 and Counter-Strike:Source and it seem perfectly fine. The image quality is super on this thing, even at high resolution the words are still clear. There's also no backlight leakage, which people claimed the 2005fpw had. I'd love to post some pics, but I lent my camera to a friend.
Thumbs up for no dead pixel and free shipping with a $60 coupon. I probably could've waited until they have a bigger coupon, but this will suffice for the time being.
