heh ,ya i was thinking that ;( I guess its time to learn, but theres one little problem. My wireless network card only works for windows ;(. No network.. no internet.. no small mp3 server.

Im tihnking of setting the laptop up on my dresser with my extra 13 inch monitor and putting winamp and just playing mp3s.
 
I ran win2k on a 166MMX with 64MB of edo RAM before and it seemed to run ok, you should be able to run it fine but of course expect nothing special.
 
you really should up the memory but that should run winXP just fine on the lowest settings, thats what i'd do- i ran winXP on a pentium 2 266 laptop w/ 64 megs of memory just turn down all visuals then use a tweak guide to configure ur laptop to disable most of windows background utilities and your set

Coo, im going to install windows xp and tweak and windows 2000 pro if that fails.... ill try win2k3 server for the heck of it. ;(

status- xp installed on it! ;] Will tweak right now.

all up and runs fine. Ordered my wireless network card and it shall be here after new years most likly ;(.
