My 1600+ overclocking experience

1600+(AGOIA 0213) w/Volcano2 and antec silver compound(anyu good? this is all I could find locally), 256mb generic pc2100, MSI kt3 ultra2, 300w generic PSU, 30gb maxtor 5400rpm, 2gb samsung, QUE! 24x12x40, sblive 5.1 value, Albatron ti4200p 128mb.

I just got my new mobo yesterday, a MSI kt3 ultra2, popped everything in and had a few problems with IDE channels at first but I fixed that. I went straight from 133fsb to 166fsb without problems or changing any voltages. In pcmark I score CPU - 5200 Memory - 3450 HDD - 685(low but usaul for me), and in 3dmark without overclocking vid card I get 9816.

I also have ran prime95 torture test for 10 hours overnight without a problem. Max temp was 52c, that is with the side of my case off.

Nice. I too have the AGOIA Y week 13, and i am running at 1.74, i used the unlocking trick that involves a pencil(it also involves CUTTING:Q your processor with an exacto knife)........ so with no bus speed changes, no OCing, nothing, my chips boots up at 1.67..... and i just run the FSB at 139, because my board doesn't have the 1/5 divider, i was able to do the whole straight to 166 FSB thing, but HDD corruption ensued..... very bad things....

I did a clean install of windows at this speed, after I formatted thinking the IDE problem was driver conflicts...it just seems that the IDE 0 and 1 are written wrong on the mobo and it didn't like my c: boot device on IDE 1. I always seem to take the long and hard way to fixing a problem, hehe, and right after I try it the hard way I figure out how to REALLY fix the problem...I do get pissed quite often. I'm having a little problem with overclocking my vidcard right now. It's the ti4200p 128mb 4.0ns, I can only get it stable at 275/520 and that seems a little low to me...I'm thinking it could have to do with my PSU? Or did I just get a dud in the overclocking section? I'm happy with where it's at, and before I get people telling me that it isn't guaranteed to overclock, I know that. I just want to push every clock out of this card. I guess I'll ask if it is alright to push forth my fsb, to somewhere around 170 or higher?
