And Sharon is supposed to be a looker? Hahaha.

He may not be a looker, but at least he showers and shaves.

Arafat might too if he had water.

Yeah? Let me sort through this before I have my IP traced and Child Protective Services is at my door.

<< Many health insurance plans cover mental health as well. >>

Been there done that. There was a while there when she was brawling at school. She wasn?t going after the girls she was pounding on the boy that made fun of her because she is really tall. The Dr. said she was fine but just had a low tolerance for ridicule. The teasing did not last long though.

<< What's even more shocking is your implicit approval of her bloodthirst. >>

Humm... OK

<< Which is more bloodthirsty? Those who preform the sucidal bombings or wanting to kill those who know and/or order them? >>

<< if it was the other way around she'd be yelling for them to kill them too >>

The suicide bombers REALLY piss her off. Her opinion of Arabs is about on par with icky bugs. She did NOT get that from me, BTW.

<< Why is your 11yr old daugther so violent? She wants to kill someone b/c they're ugly? >>

Well, she does have a very strict sense of aesthetics. But she does know (Ok this part did come from me) that Yasser Arafat is a terrorist thug. In her mind the solution is simple: Take him out.

<< Personally, I'd be extremely worried if my son/daughter were saying such things. It sounds like she has little value on the lives of others that she deems expendable (where'd she learn that?).

At that age, the only idealism they have is that which is assimilated from their parents, teachers, and peers. Which one is more likely?

It's called a hyperbole. Although i guess since you didn't learn about such words by barely getting your GED in the boonies, i'm not surprised you're not very keen on this concept.

<< There's nothing wrong with shooting terrorists. >>

Perhaps, but there is something wrong about shooting israeli kids throwing rocks at tanks.

Her mom? ;)
Actually it is a little deeper than that. She hates bullies and if she sees a smaller kid getting picked on she will mix it up with the offending party even if she has no idea who they are. I think she views the Arabs as picking on Israel. On the other end of the scale she has little tolerance for those she calls losers. She does not pick on them but her sense of disgust is thinly veiled.

No Quake III. She does love Half-Life.

Man you make this too easy.

Your quote: I'm guessing she read texmaster's posts about how israel is justified in doing a little 'ethnic cleansing' of those 'dark skins'.

You were even stupid enough to put quote marks around the words implying I said them.

A hyperbole is an exaggeration not an outright lie you Moron. I never even came close once to using a racial slur to describe Palestinians or any other people and I challenge you to prove me wrong.

What you did was lie, simple and to the point. If anyone needs to go back to school, its you little buddy.

Running away from your statement like a gutless coward just goes to show how much backbone you have.

Aaah, "losers" only. It's all too easy for one to label another as a loser. In this particular context, I'd have to agree, but isn't she a little young to be so idealistic? How is someone at that age able to discern others as being "losers"? She can't; she simply regurgitates what she hears from (*ahem*) others :)

Xenophobia tis not a redeeming virtue.

kids at that age tend to be very concrete and to see the world in black and white terms, I think it's normal ! The ability to see all the shades of gray in any given situation is something that comes with age. The other thing to remember is that sometimes the answer is a simple one and that often the wisest course does indeed come from the mouths of babes.

Actually the word ?looser? is not a word I use. I have other more descriptive words. If you think I?m lying, check my other posts. You ask how can she tell? It takes her about half a second. She is right more often than not.
As for the ?High Thinker? that says I let the TV and computer games raise my kids. I wish!

baffled2 Thanks! You're right. The people that are the most freaked out on this thread are the ones that don't have kids.

Indeed, but normally that black and white is simply the difference between right and wrong. She didn't say, "he's a bad man", she said, "why don't they kill him?" Not to obfuscate the original point, but these diatribes are really no different than what many Arab children experience. They could simply identify America as "bad", but it's taken to the extreme levels that conjure hatred.

Yeah. If the kill ugly people ideology spread, then I'd have to spend all my time dodging bullets. ;)

She knows who Arafat is. The Bad part she already has down. The fact that he is ugly is just a bonus.

It's pretty clear reading this thread who actually has experience with kids, and who does not. Of course, it occurs to me that the criticism emanates from a crowd in the same age bracket as Jim's daughter, so an entire brick of salt would be in order.

kids of that age are still grappling with the idea of death as being final and permanent, they don't view it as we do, such a comment from an 11 yr old is very normal
