My 1 Year Anniversary!

So we've been married for one year today and thought I would do something special for her. I'm at work right now but will leave around noon time and then go to Portos Bakery and get some dessert for tonight. Then I'll go to Tiffany's and pick up a bracelet or ring (haven't decided which one yet). Afterwards, I will go to Trader Joe's and pick up some Salmon and some other ingredients to make for dinner. We don't have an oven at home so I will have to drive to my parent's house which is about 1 mile away and prepare the salmon there and then bring it back home and surprise her.

Here's the breakdown (this makes it easier for me to plan):
12:00 - leave work
12:30 - arrive at Portos and pick up dessert
1:00 - arrive at Tiffany's and pick up bracelet or ring
2:00 - go to Trader Joes and pick up Salmon and some salad and walnuts
3:00 - go to parent's house and prepare salmon and salad
5:00 - go back home to dine and wine

A little background on myself: I don't cook (For the past eight years that we have been together, she likes to tell everybody how I've only cooked for her ONCE).

Any comments or suggestions!?!

For some reason this reminded me of the Simpsons episode Homer the Smithers where Homer tried to make breakfast for Mr. Burns and the cereal caught fire.

wait you don't have an oven? How the heck do you make steaks or pork or anything like that?!?!?

p.s. plan sounds mint....reminds me of the day of prom in high schools, when all the people going would leave school early and do all that fun prommy stuff.

She actually took me to Ruth Chris Steakhouse last week for the anniversary. She thought I wouldn't be home today because I have my softball games on Wednesdays.

Here's a thought.... if she thinks you're not going to be home tonight... what if she made plans to be out as well?

This has happened to me...although not on our anniversary.

Congrats on 1 year, btw.

I was wondering how a certificate of authenticity related to your one year anniversary, then I realized it stands for course of action (?) :p

Perhaps COA is Condoms on Arrival? At only 1 year, sex on your anniversary is a given... Give it a couple more years.... :D

Get a skinless salmon filet, cover both sides with corn starch, and just fry it in a pan.

Eat the top of your wedding cake

We still have it in the fridge but I doubt I can stomach eating it.

I don't want to eat ours either, my wife can... I just can't wait for the one year anniversary so we'll have more room in our freezer!

My advice: just chuck it now. Mine tasted like ass. Freezerburned ass, at that.
