My 1.4ghz was up to 59 C , whats going on

i have the volcano 5 hsf, its extremely loud btw, is there any HSF's that are quiet and WORK BETTER? I'm willing to pay at least 30 bucks for a good quiet one.. this is rediculus.

Perhaps you should consider that the temp probe might actually be accurate.
my tbird 800 @ 1gig @ 1.825v with a pep66t/thin delta runs up to 57c.

hsf's from Tai Sol are very efficient and very quiet.

Ya that sounds like a normal temp for that CPU. Try to improve case cooling also. Whats a volcano 5 and who put it on?

i put it on and i used thermal paste,

also its too loud for my taste, the comps in my room, and theres no way i can sleep with that much noise!
