I just got the mxduo a little over a month ago when staples had it for $60 instead of $100. They were both completely working fine up until maybe a week ago. Now whenever I put the mouse in the charger it won't light up green indicating it's charging. It's pretty snug in the charger like it always was, but it just won't charge. Now it's blinking red b/c it's on low batt. Any1 have any idea what I should do? Clean the contacts, change batts, etc.?

Thanks for any help guys

I agree with xcript. I have the same mouse and you have to clean the contacts periodically. I use IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or rubbing alcohol, but if they are really smutted up you could use goo b gone or other solvent based desmutting agent

Make sure your AC adapter is plugged into the back of the USB adapter for the keyboard.

This happened to me couple of months ago, was moving couple of cables around in the back when apparently, the AC adapter came off. Of course, I didn't know this at the time so I got a little pissy because I thought the battery finally died on it (I have bad luck with rechargeable batteries).

But later, I found the problem and plugged it back in... it was recharging again.

A bit of an obvious (no brainer) kind of thing.. but if cleaning the contacts don't work, this is how you should troubleshoot, one by one.

Also, have your batteries being used up faster and faster lately?

Might signal a dead battery...

Yeah, try cleaning the contacts.

I find I have to do this every few weeks.

I'm not 100% sure if xcript means both the two recharging spots on the bottom of the mouse & the contacts inside, but let my post clarify this for you Eagle1Fox2 🙂

<-- Owns the same MX Duo setup 🙂

If you don't like taking the time to clean the contacts with alcohol, I've found that a quick rub with a clean pencil eraser will do the trick. I had to start doing this with my horrible Siemens cordless here at work and found that it works great for the MX at home too.
