MX700 - Battery Life

I just got this mouse a few weeks ago and it has been great. However, last night I let the batteries get low while playing a game, and they died a couple hours later. No problem, I just put in some regular batteries temporarily. But now the rechargable batteries won't charge. When I put them in the mouse and the mouse in the cradle, there is no blinking green led and no charge happening. Did I kill them?

I've been having a dreadful time with mx700's recharging feature.
What you should try first is reseating the batteries, unplugging the cradle completely from the computer and power, and plugging it into a different power outlet. It should then recharge for you.. If you keep having a problem take it back to where you bought it.

I have the MX700 too, and I also have problems getting it to recharge by just putting it in. However, I thought one day maybe there is an issue with the contacts...so I blew on them, threw it in surely enough it starting blinking.

Now I just do this everytime and it works, so you should try that if you haven't.

Try cleaning off the contacts using a pencil eraser (this was actual advice from Logitech technical support)

It's funny how electrical devices need to be plugged into the wall... I had it unplugged when trying to find a plug for Christmas lights and forgot to plug it back in 😱

Its even better if a lecturer forgets to turn on the power to the Projector and sends for the technician. Spending 2 seconds, the techie finds the problem and about 150 people just laugh at the lecturer.
