MX518 vs. MX1000

Ok so the MX1000 Cordless Laser is $40 AR at CompUSA....I'm VERY tempted. But I play games and I don't know if the wireless can handle it for CounterStrike Source and stuff. I have a MX500 that randomly dies on me so I need a new one. The MX518 is the same size. How much bigger is the MX1000?

Thanks 🙂 What would you get?

EDIT: I have a wireless optical Logitech behind me and a wireless B network if it's going to interfere...

Yeah I went and got the MX518...last one on the shelf. The MX1000 didn't feel as nice and it was bigger.

I almost jumped on the the sale at BB last month, MX1000 was the same price as the 518-$45-but the MX1000 felt to big and bulky for me, went with the MX518 and am very happy.

See I have the exact opposite feeling, i LOVE the MX1000 because it is so large, I hadn't ever had a mouse before that fit my hands correctly and actually WAS ergonomic. *shrugs* but maybe that is just me.

My Mx1000 works just fine for cs:s. Even if the 518 was somehow "better," I couldn't give up my side scrolling action. It's just too useful.
