I have MX510 and I love it.

Yeah, maybe....but the mx510 is hot at this price. I think the MX518 will at a price of $35~$38.

'ok' deal. i think all the mx5xx series are very ugly except the 500, (including the 518 and future variations if the 510 and 518 say anything). the mx518 doesn't leave much in terms of getting users excited... despite the overly done flash of it. they only fuglified the casing and buttons prints (with the addition of variable 1600dpi).

500 and 510 users need not apply, but for just 10 bucks more people still on their basic logitechs could take a look at it ;). (just make sure your hand is ALWAYS over the mouse - as so you do not throw up onto your keyboard at the sight of it).

Oh, I like that. I've been putting off upgrading my Logitech dual-scan optical, and I just might get the 518 if I can get it for under $40.

And yeah, I actually like the looks.

You know what I really wish I could get, though? The old razor Boomslang, only with the 518's optical sensors. I love the feel of my old boomslang, but any amount of dust on the mouse ball would feel like a boulder was in there.

I too am gonna hold out and keep usin my good ol Ifeel mouseman until the 518 comes out in a few weeks. Silver is less intrusive and why not get 1600dpi if its available. Really at this nice price I would get a 510 if it wasnt in blue and red only.
