MX510 "clicking" issue

I know a mouse clicks when it's buttons are depressed (just FYI)

However, a slight depress on the left mouse button produces a "click" before the actual click symbolic of a depressed mouse button. This initial click produces no undesired affects such as an action or mouse curser movement, just an annoying clicking sound. It's almost as though the surrounding area catches on the bendable plastic, forming the button, as it is depressed. So on a left click, i get the action desired, but a "double-clicking" sound. The problem click about 2x as loud as a normal one.

Anyone have this problem or how to fix it? I don't feel it warrants an RMA because nothing is wrong with it, technically, I'm just annoyed at this "catching click"

thanks

I still don't quite get what you mean by the double-click, I just hear a loud click on my MX510. Maybe it is just the way it is designed.

I had the same problem with my MX510 and also with my MX1000. I called Logitech both times and they sent me new ones. Haven't had the problem with the new mice. And I didn't have to send them my old mice.

I think I have the same thing with my MX700. Never really worried about it. Is pretty annoying, although it's just off and on.

Wow, I thought I was the only one having that issue. May need to do like Tu13erhead and call Logitech and get a new one.
