MX440 in Shuttle SB51G

i have an MX 440 video card that physically fits in my Shuttle.

the Shuttle is the vintage that came with the 3.06 Pentium 4,
the first one to support Hyper-Threading, and also DDR333.
i don't remember the chip set.

i want to install that video card in the Shuttle, but i notice
they're of slightly different vintages.

i looked at the Shuttle SB51G manual, nothing about AGP
4X/ 8X.

anybody know if it's OK to install an AGP 4X card in an
AGP 8X slot ?

Should be fine, as long as the pin notches line up. Watch your voltages. Your card is a 1.5v, so most 4x/8x boards will work. Check your card with these two pictures, make sure it is 1.5v. http://www.directron.com/15agpguide.html
