Edited 11/13/2005 ** Anybody can help me out here?**

I tried the For Sale/Trade and Peripherals forums, however it moves to the bottom too quickly or not much responses, so I am trying this forum.

I would like to buy a either working or non-working MX1000 receiver/charger unit. I just need the receiver itself. If any of you has one, please let me know how much you want to sell it for.

I am not trying to trick Logitech to get a replacement. My current MX1000 is still working, however, it has some problem once in a while(I can still use it 95% of the time). So, I am getting a replacement. In order to do that, I need to cut out the USB adapter from the receiver and send that in to proof that I have an MX1000. I want to still use my current MX1000 in another computer. So, I need another receiver. Please let me know if you have one, either working or not working. It doesn't matter.

Thanks.

Umm...I've replaced 2 MX1000's thus far. All they ask for is the 3 sets of #'s on the base of the mouse and receiver, and they send you another one, in the box, at no cost, and they don't require you to send back the old one.

When did you do that? I just did this last week(still waiting for my mouse) and they wanted me to send in the part first. But I insisted they send me a new mouse, otherwise, I have no mouse to use. I think it is a new policy? So, do you have a base that you can sell to me?

Let me call again when I get home. Thanks. But I tried another one last week and the first thing he asked me was if I sent in that part! So, if Logitech changed their policy, do you have 1 receiver that you can sell to me?

I probably have 3 or 4, but I'd rather have Logitech do what they're supposed to do (I find it highly unlikely the policy changed. MS has the same policy their peripherals).

I just called again and they said that this policy only applies to MX1000 :(

He said that it is because many people just called and said that their MX1000 don't work. So, they finally decided to ask people to send in the usb part to prevent people from keep calling and getting new MX1000 when their original mouse is OK or what not.

So, could you sell me 1 base unit? We can do PM if you are interested.

Thanks

Man, what the heck is happening here! I talked to 4 people and they all wanted me to send in that little usb connector. When did you replace yours? Maybe it is really a MX1000 thing?

and part of my replacement set was a BT mx1000
from my experience its all about how you present it...just gotta tell em you've been using it for a while and this suddenly happened! otherwise it gets to be tricky
