NO! It's not a mouse with a frickin' laser beam attached to it's .. err.. whatever part of the mouse anatomy you want to call that (OK.. maybe I'm going too far with the joke.. )
 
While on the subject, anyone heard plans of a WIRED version of the MX1000? I really want it's lasery-goodness but I don't want the wireless weight and price.
 
Someone over in the massive 3dgpu post on the MX-1000 said that it worked with the base charger of the MX-700, but I don't recall if he said that you were able to mouse with it using the MX-700's receiver (I think he said that worked too though).

In MaxPC's review of the MX-1000, they mentioned that a wired version would be coming out in a few months.
