Anybody have a Logitech mx1000 mouse? Staples has a sale on them and i'm thinking about buying one. My question is will they work if the transmitter is on top of the desk and your mouse is on the pull out for the keyboard which would be about 8 inches lower then the transmitter. Hate to buy it and it don't work.
thanks

Yeah, that should be fine. I have an MX700, and the transmitter is on my desk, while the mouse is on the pull out tray about 4 inches below and 10inches to the right, and it works fine. Even if I try using the mouse under the tray and on my knee, the mouse works fine.

The transmitter uses RF, not IR so line of sight doesn't matter.

Thanks i had a cordless many moons ago and you had to have it right in front of the mouse for it to work. Plus it ate batteries.

And it's corded, which means it's limited.

I've got several MX1000's for a reason. I love the mouse, the way it feels, the way it moves, and the way it plays.

Go for it.
