I just got an mx1000 for a gift and tried it on my brand new Icemat 2nd Edition. The mouse does the old IntelliExplorer 1.0 problem and will skip if moved really fast (i.e. the quick 180 turn in FPS games). However, it doesn't have a single tracking problem on regular wood. The MX1000 is a great mouse and works very well (I don't have the delay problem). Still, I payed 40+ dollars for the Icepad (it is the best mousepad I've ever used) and it hurts me to see this happen. I thought the MX1000 was supposed to work on almost any surface? My old ass IntelliExplorer 3.0 works perfectly fine on the Icemat... I don't even know what to do: go back to my old mouse or rid myself of the Mx1000.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or even not have this problem.
I'm hoping that the problem is a bad MX1000 and not the actual laser tracking system.
