MX1000 and friends

Hey dudes!
I've read treads about MX1000 and other MX's and came over a thought.
A lotta people use hi-tec mice but nothing is said about hi-tec surface. I think using serious gear without serious surface is a crime! (and QUAKING also gets much interesting with a good pad)

I use MX700 (WANT MX1000(It RULES baby)) and Icemat Black 2(It also RULES)

Lots of talk has gone on about mouse pads. Most people agree that the premium ones are a scam. I've been through at least $100 in pads, and I use a $4 best buy one now. (with my mx900)

I've tested a lotta pads and in the end I stayed with Icemat (because of gliding mostly)
And 4$ pads now I can't even look at them.

$40 for a mouse pad!!!???? You must be outta your damn mind!

So what I like gaming and I like to gain maximal fun from it so I use the best gear. And the cost yeah it's big but the pad is a killer. I tried ratpad(about 20$) it died in three month thats about 80$ a year for mousepads compare it with 40$ for ICEMAT. But huge amount of gamers use it and they're happy. So whose the man?

Don't know...I used cloth and rubber mousepads for awhile. Then I found that my desk did an ok job. But I read a lot about the C4 mousepads. I've got one of those now - excellent mousing surface.

I use an odd pad that I found at my high school 3 or 4 years ago, don't know what it was for (it was in the auto shop) and it works very well. (its almost like a totally smooth cloth with almost a grid on it, it's about 15"²). then I used some spray adhesive and put a rubber mat on the bottum. I prefer it to my brother's RatPadz one (mines bigger, smoother, showes no signs of wear), though it has an odd brown residue that it leaves on the mouse feet, it never affects friction. My suggestion: sneak into high school auto shops and look for these!

First off, maximal sounds like a marketing buzz word. And "who's the man?"...well I guess you are. I guess I dont understand how a mouse pad can die. I think this is a spammer post...

I totally agree. "QUAKING" ??? WTF? This guy sounds like a marketing person trying to use the "cool" lingo, but it ain't working out. Look dude, VERY few people are "QUAKING" now a days. You may want to go and update your game list, "gaming" guy.

So whose the man?
Definitely not you.

I totally missed the Quaking line the first time. Man, that is funny. Serious WireSnake either you are marketing, or playing games on a P166 w/ Voodoo2s in SLI.

I have an MX1000, does that make me the man??? 🙂

You didn't say that you've treid the Func Surface 1030 though... have you? Of all the one's I've tried, it's my favorite and the one that I currently have sitting on my desk right now. LOVE IT!

(Edit: BTW... I got my Func from Xoxide during their 4th of July sale for 14 bucks shipped... only reason I bought it, because I feel anything more than $15 is a ripoff)

You know when the gliding surface turns rought and unusable. Thats called death of a mousepad.
