MX1000 and Firefox

Just got my brand new Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse today. Install the set point software, and set the obvious buttons to go back and forward in my web browser. Problem is.. it doesn't work. I click the back button (ie. on the mouse.. not left click on the back button in the browser), and nothing happens.

WTF?

Remap the buttons as keystrokes. Alt+Left(Back) & Alt+Right(Forward). Or as another user suggested, close setpoint.

jump up and down 10 times crying :*(

jk

that is werd i would probably reinstall the drivers for it and mozzila listen to the guy above me ^^^ he probably right.

Thanks. Now, who should I complain to.. Mozilla or Logitech? Who's bug is this? (After paying $100+ for a mouse, I expect it to work, damn it!)

nice. blackinches was using the keystroke assignment, but because of that sometimes using those buttons in games would make it act strange. hopefully this works better.

no kidding. have you noticed how the scroll doesn't work in some games either?

Just uninstall\disable Setpoint and it'll work perfectly. IMO, Setpoint is basically just there to serve as a bloated battery meter.

Both Logitech and mozilla,
I have a mx500 you have to go into the mouse setup panel and set the side buttons to move the page forward or backward.

Now.. here's another one: I want to change the application launcher to ALT-TAB.. but when I press alt-tab.. it switches windows (duh!).. how can I get this to work?

My friend has the same problem. He can't scroll either. He ragged on me about my Intelimouse and how the buttons on the side are annoying. But now he can't even take advantage of the same function, or even use the scroll wheel for that matter. I laughed right in his face. Although, the problem only persisted in firefox.

I have a logitech mouse and keyboard, It works fine with mozilla. Go to www.logitech.com and download the latest software for BOTH the mouse and keyboard. Use the settings to remap the keys to open firefox or you can do what I did and map the keys to launch my favorite games and programs.

I have an MX700, and haven't had any problems using it in Firefox. I also don't have the crappy setpoint drivers, though, so there you go. Just another reason to hate the MX1000. Had it, it sucked, took it back, MX700 all the way. =D
