this mouse is making me damn crazy. It keeps lagging and suttering, so I move the receiver closer, no dice. I got two replacement from logitech already, still no good. And as a precaution, I test it with all the wireless router, cellphone, cordless phone etc turn off.

Quick search on logitech's forums reveal lots of others having this issue...why would they release something so crappy

I got mine when it was almost $100.

I had to have it RMAed because it would not hold a charge, the scroll wheel got stuck and there were periods of inactivity.

Just tell them that you want your money back. They will probably send you a brand new one, not a refurb. Or they will refund you.

I was given a choice of replacement of full refund. I told them point blank that if they intended on sending me a refurb, i wanted my money back because there was NO way i was spending $90 on a refurb. They send me a brand new unit.

I have one at work and it has been working perfectly, for a couple of months now.

Don't have one for the machine at home though.

I love the mouse design too. I got two replacement from them already, I'll have to try to get a brand new one ship to me, if that could be the problem, never thought of that. If that one still fails, I might just tell them to give me a G5 as a replacement

i absolutely love mine, i don't know what i would do without it now. No problems whatsoever, 5 days of battery life...they didn't release a bad product, you have a software conflict OP.

I own three, the only problems I have with them are that the battery lasts too long so I never remember to dock them, and you have to install modified drivers to make forward and back work outside IE.

i'm using the stock software, mine is working fine in FF and windows explorer. i've had mine for about 5 months now, and my only complaint is that the scroll wheel is getting a little sticky...not spinning as well as it did when i first got it. there doesn't appear to be any "easy" way to take this thing apart either...

For some reason when I installed the newest setpoint drivers m pc screensaver never comes on so my monitor never shuts off. I just disabled setpoint but then I lose the ability to map the buttins to do different things. Not a huge deal but kind of a bummer.

Also, my battery doesn't last 1/2 a long as the mx1000.

My MX610 did that until I switched mouse pads to a thin plastic cutting board (from a Fellowes hard mouse pad that should have worked fine). I'll bet that is the one thing you haven't tried because lasers are supposed to work on any surface.

I bought a VX for my notebook and have started using it as my primary mouse for my desktop. I need to buy an MX.

I got a DiNovo desktop with Bluetooth, only problem with it is the mouse will sometimes stop responding for a few seconds, so the cursor sits in one spot on the screen. I could also never get the BT software to work right, so I could use my cell with the computer.

I found that if you set the forward and back buttons to the "generic button" option, both FF and IE will pick up the forward and back, and games will recognize it as "Button 6" or whatever. Works for me

Is this the laser mouse? MX1000 or is it different?

Anyways my MX1000 usually works fine although sometimes it can get messed up because of my keyboard and it can be hard to get charging. My biggest annoyance is that is randomly
"resets" all the time. I'll be playing a game and all of the sudden my character is looking at the ground.

I really like Logitech products, but I won't ever buy a wireless mouse again, not worth the hassle.

There's also the added media options, as well as being able to assign anything to anything, especially that pesky Search button.

Add that to the fact that I don't use Firefox, I'm a Seamonkey guy.
