MX Duo Question

I just got the MX Duo set today...very nice!

I have one question: The keyboard seems to be lagging a lot. How do I fix this?

Thank you so much!

Try changing the channel the KB is on..I think the drivers can do that, or it is just a reconnect.

when I had the mx duo, occassionally I would also have this problem. Yea, just change the channel and you will be fine.

I sometimes thought the same when I first got mine, but it seems to have changed.
Maybe putting the keyboard in secure mode somehow helped? I'm not sure.

like the others said, check for interference. i have a wireless ibm keyboard and there is zero lag even when im 6 ft away from the target.

Alright I've tried both channels, moved the base station around, reinstalled drivers, and everything is the same. I may just have to return it.....

Thanks for all of the advice. Any other ideas?

I have a wireless router, that's it....but it's a pretty good distance away from it. Should I change the router's channel?

Sorry for biting your thread.

My prob is with the mouse. Not lag but the pointer just does not want to move sometimes. Can mouse be defective???

Thx

If you don't move the mouse for a while (like >10 seconds) it goes to sleep. moving it again means it has to wak up and reconnect. Thus, lag.

That sucks. How bad is the lag? I've noticed on mine that if I press a lot of random keys at the same time the keyboard needs a couple of seconds to keep up, but I've never had a problem with regular typing. Perhaps it's just you typing too fast? 🙂

nycdude - I have problems with my MX700 too. If your problem is not the described sleeping, but like it skipping the first couple of pixels, I think that's because the mouse is just too darn heavy. I'm not sure why people like it so much!
