I personally think cars with less power can be more fun. I've gone the high hp turbocharged route before and while the novelty of the power is fun you can't open it up like that all the time and afterwards you're just kind of left wishing you had a better overall balanced car.

On a car like the BR-Z I'm sure I could floor it everyday on my way to work and not get into serious trouble 😀

I'm gonna tie in all the cars here in this statement:

Over at S2ki.com members who got rid of the s2000 got nc miatas to track

The NC Miata on a track with I/h/e, and suspension is faster than the S2000. Almost the same straight line speed. Yes the Miata is down 80hp but with the engine mods and weight in its advantage it's almost dead even in speed. Miatas of this era actually have the same brakes as the rx-8 which were good for that car, great with a car that weighs 400lbs less

Now add in that the Miata is at the end of its cycle run and these brz/ft86 twins can beat it stock around the track I would think after minor
Mods the brz/ft86 could beat the s2000 around the track

S2000 CR or modded S2000 that's another story but these cars are good. Have small track potential and will be a nice alternative in auto crossing.

Remember the ft86/brz can fit wheels in the back and other goods to take to the track

S2k is ooooooold though. By now the mustang v6 spanks it on circuits.

The S2k was being spanked a loooooong time ago. Mainly due to low power. I remember during C/D Lightning Lap when the Cobalt SS demolished it, but the S2000 had higher cornering speeds and lower sector times for the twisty sections. It just can't hang with only 240hp.

That's why you put an LSx in it.
