Is there much difference? Is there a consensus of which is better?

I recently picked up two syringes of the stuff fairly cheap. I normally use AS5.

I believe they are similar in terms of thermals, but MX4 is a lot easier to spread. Not sure how much this affects the rice method. MX4 is so cheap I can't see much reason going for MX2.

Anyone have a link to a sale or special to buy either of these syringes? VirtualLarry, where did you pick up yours? I'm down to my last bit, so I need to restock. I'm very happy with it, I think I had the MX-4 though. Really good price/value.

They are both $7 on amazon.

Newegg also has both.

MX-4 is just a tad better in terms of performance, but we're talking about decimals of a ºC. Also it can be much more expensive. In Spain I can buy twice the amount of MX-2 than MX-4 for less money (8g of MX-2 at 7€, while 4g of MX-4 costs 7,9€).
