This is most likely a version 2.0 with the cf drive that is modified to not be used in cf compatible devices, other than the muvo.

Last I heard this "modified" CF card was more of an urban legend. Most everyone who cashed in on the drive last time didn't have any problems. The ones who claimed of a "modified" drive were just out to stop OOS and get one for themselves.
 
I have to second that - I have done about 40 conversions (the last being this morning), and I have yet to see solder or non convertible drives.
 
I think this one is the new version that specifically states "Version 2.0" like the one's that they have back in stock at amazon.
 
This will be the version 2, which currently is not capable of having the CF used independently of the muvo. It is no longer a myth. There has been an extensive discussion of this over at FW. Buy this for the music capabilities, not the microdrive, unless you feel like getting burned.
 
I would not want to stop anyone from buying and selling, etc. The version 2.0 is in fact not a myth check dpreview.com forums, you will see many people confirming. Also check ChubbyWallet to see more info.
