Mutilated $20 bill, how much is this worth?

does it have the watermarks on it, and the plastic strip that says $20 on it?? if so and she works for a bank she should be able to exchange it for another $20. usually bills like this are sent to the fed bank in the area and destroyed.

The pic isn't working atm...but you can send in money to a dept in the US Treasury dept who specialize in recovering money. I think you need to have at least more than half of the bill. Saw it on discovery channel some time ago.

there are people who pay crap load of money for misprinted money and stamps etc. but they have their own rules so this could be worth a lot or worthless

My mom works for the bank and she picked this up. It's in mint condition and it is real money. I know there are people who collect these things, how much is it worth? Are there any places I can go to for asking etc?

is that real?

As long as you can see both serial #s on the money, it is legal tender.
Whether it's worth more than that I cannot say.

Collectors usually love these kinds of things. I don't know how commong misprinted cash is, but irregular coins are very valuable...

I will get someone to look at the photo who knows about currency errors. If the note has not been damaged, it has value.

Don't fold the note.
