Mustiff Psu's

They're a step down from HEC, if that tells you anything.

HEC pretty much sucks, but I would say Codegen is more than just a step down. Maybe a tiny step up from Powmax and Deer.

omg lol.... should have known that with the 'dual rail' split into 8/14A lol... yall think it can push a 9800 GTX ?

I've never heard of them but assume these PSU's are over-rated by at least 150W and rated at 25C. Chances are they are down-right horrible.

As far as a 9800GTX goes...
Wouldn't a better question be is it really worth killing everything in the PC with one of these PSU's?

with 8A and 14A 12V rails....in a word NO!!

yea mustiff is tougher than u think rofl... runs a 9800GTX+ like a dream heavily oc'd.... never gutted never blew up... now running in another system with same gpu

That's nice...

There was a guy who lived in my city, who had some ordinance from the Civil War in his house...this stuff is over 140 years old...then one day BOOM...goes off and kills him.

Moral of the story, play with explosives and they might not kill you for a long time...but you are just tempting fate.

Mustiff is still a stinking pile of crap

Like they say, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. Sometimes, even the most horrible power supply manufacturer gets one that works for a while.

Thats just bad, like downright not even possible bad. Like should get sued for false advertising bad, like 26amps = 312 goddam watts bad.

My Corsair 850TX(you know like with a real power rating) has 70 amps.

Add up every single output, and it doesn't even add up to 800W

26A*12V=312W
30A*5V=150W
20A*3.3V=66W
Total 528W

of course the fact that it still has a -5V output points to the fact that it is an ANCIENT design

Need I repeat? Codegen/Mustiff is a steaming pile of dung
