Mustek 600 II CD and Win2K: Help

I upgraded my machine (Dell P3/600 w/512MB RAM) recently from Win98SE to Win2K.

Everything seems to be running much better since the new, clean install. My problem is with my older Mustek 600 II CD SCSI scanner. Mustek does not have a Win2K driver for this model on their site. I tried to use Win98 drivers but they don't work(won't recognize the unit). My email to Mustek has gone unanswered so far. Am I out of luck here? This has been a really good scanner. Should I look for a "hot deal" and let this one go?

Any suggestions would be great!

i have forcely to sell my loving scanner to dirty cheap price for people that still use win9x

Mustek does have an NT Driver for this scanner. Have you tried using it. I have the same scanner and would be interested in the results.

This is the message that I just received from Mustek Support:

This Technical Support E-mail is from Mustek Product Specialist, XXXX.
Date: 07/16/2001

Unfortunately there will be no Windows 2000 support for this product. The
product will only be compatible with the specifications as stated in the
product literature and on the product packaging.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we encourage our
customers who have a need for imaging in the Windows 2000 environment to
consider purchasing a different model scanner or camera that has Windows
2000 compatibility as part of the product specifications.

I did try the NT driver--wouldn't work.

I posted in "I WANNA". I need (not just want) a scanner for my small business.

That sucks. They just want you to buy a new scanner. When I do it won't be from them.

I have the exact same scanner. That is pretty LAME that they haven't made 2000 drivers.:|

I have not tried hooking mine up yet, probably will not now>

Anyone want a Mustek II CD scanner, cheap!
