Starting a new job Monday, and I am so temtpted to give my wife my PalmVx and buy a new Ipaq.
Somebody give me a reason to NOT buy it! 🙁

It's bulkier and the new iPaq's with X-Scale CPUs and hopefully other nice features will be coming out later this year.

I still have my B&W iPaq and I'm happy with it. The color ones eat up batteries like nothing else though.
 
They give those out to the sales guys at work. Being salespeople you'd think they have a sense of humour. I picked up one and said, damn its a bit big and expensive for an mp3 player... i just got wierd looks! may be they were having an important discussion.
 
You need to resist it so you can buy my Jornada..... 🙂

Seriously though... if you don't need the power of an iPAQ for anything in particular, I'll sell you my 548 for a good price, and you get the bonus of a bunch of accessories for it right off the bat.

I also have a brand new iPAQ 3760... but someone called dibs on it, so I need to see if he still wants it or not first.
 
Ok, how about this...if you get one, you will need to purchase and wear the little leather pouch type holder to carry it in. Add your cell phone, and you'll look like the ubergeek.

I havn't really experienced this with my H3635. I played 2+ hours of MP3s and still have around 75% of battery left. Thats not too bad. If you really thing about it, you don't really need more than 5 hours of battery life/day. Unless you are using it all day to play games/MP3. As soon as you get back home/office, just stick it in the cradle and it automaticly charges. I understand if you are away for longer stretches of time, but you can get a car adapter, or bring your AC cord to the hotel.
 
Becuase it's made by COMPAQ???

You could always tell your friends "no its not a compaq, its an ipaq". big difference. just build your own.
