Lately, I don't understand what everyone's big farkin deal is with being &quot;elite&quot; anyway. I mean, it's not exactly something that you're going to use in a resume now is it. Not knocking those who ARE elite, I'm just tired of everyone making an issue of it lately. It's getting to be like some sort of childish competition. &quot;Neener Neener Neener, I'm Elite and Your not, Neener Neener Neener.&quot; If you ARE someone who truly deserves elite status, then the powers that be will bestow the coveted title of such upon you. Otherwise quit crying about it. All of these threads and polls lately about &quot;Who should be Elite&quot;, &quot;Why am I not elite?&quot;, &quot;Vote for Me, Vote for Me, I need to be Elite&quot; aren't going to help anyone's cause. Get over it and just be happy that there IS this wonderful place that exists, known as AnandTech, where fellow geeks can unite and share their infinite wealth of knowledge (or lack there of).
