I hope not. But for Chris Wallace and Shepard Smith, Faux News is absolutely devoid of any real journalism.

He's always been my favorite Fox anchor. Mostly due to his repeat appearances on The Soup with Joel McHale.

The faux outrage on Twitter is.....well, expected, sadly. Guess fake news is any critique of Trump, et al. Or asking Trump a "hard question."

It started when the stories came about about All the fake news stories put out by Russian sources targeting Hillary. They had to latch on to it to take away its impact.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/08/politics/hillary-clinton-fake-news-epidemic/index.html

Hillary Clinton, speaking in public Thursday for one of the first times since losing the presidential election a month ago, called the proliferation of fake news "an epidemic."

Just after the election. I happen to agree with her, its just funny hearing her say it when she has contributed to it.

Oh that fake news. I totally forgot because it was actually fake news. I should have kept a tally of the stories I saw in my FB news feed by pro Trumpists. There were so many that they thought were real. The only three I can remember now is the Pope endorsing Trump, and that Clinton's residence was raided by NYC police, and that had a picture. Too bad that never happened and only Chelsea lives in NYC. And Pizzagate.

None of this came from Fox or even Breitbart for the most part.

I remember one week I saw 5 fake news stories from the main Trump supporter on my FB page.

BTW, is there a host like Shepard on CNN with a daily prime time slot? Anti Hillary and Pro Trump? Nope. Wonder why that is. But Fox News is the only bad one right? CNN is worse than Fox, and they both such ass.

yeah the phrase went mainstream right after Hillary lost and then team Trump realized "hey that's great we can call anything we don't agree with 'fake news.'"

Does CNN have anyone that is pro-Hillary? I mean openly pro-Hillary like the way Hannity is pro-Trump?

"Fake news" began entirely from the MSM against conspiracy sites, Facebook sites, and whatnot, right? It's funny how quickly turn on certain phrases, people, or things when they're associated with the wrong groups. People try to fight a war of words and then immediately surrender every time Alex Jones or /pol/ uses them back, it's hilarious.

The elites have got it figured out. Fool the Americans by giving them three cable news channels, from left to right in terms of political ideology - MSNBC, CNN, Fox News. That way, the various political ideologies can be reaffirmed by watching these corporate owned entities. Plus, it makes the masses feel like they're getting proper news.

Of course they all report the same stories except play them at different angles. They all decide what the average person needs to know. And apparently, your average person is happy to be spoon fed this.

The truthiest truthpeddler of our times.
He used to maybe speak an occasional truth here and there. Now, ever since he started pushing the Trump agenda, he's most likely in with the corporate elites. There is not a huge difference now between the mainstream propaganda and Alex Jones. Except he is spreading more fear and division.

This guy took credit for Trump winning and says he talks to Trump regularly. He has spawned off other shills that repeat the hateful agenda that he does.

There are other major news media outlets, though those are three of the main ones.

What's the other option, relying on Trump's twitter feed?

Alex Jones is a loon. Even if you think the "mainstream media" is full of shit, they haven't gone to the lengths of "trutherism" that Jones has.

You got to find out who the owners of those places are. And you also have to find out the agenda behind the stories as well. These people are clever.

Since most people don't have much of a choice but to accept corporate owned news, I guess they can watch it but don't take the story as pure fact. They should have some sort of skepticism about it.

But most people will pick whatever side agrees with their political ideology and get their news from there - doesn't matter if its owners have an interest in deceiving you or not. As long as your political views are affirmed, you'll gladly accept anything they offer you.

He's spawned off some very popular shills that are spreading just as much hate and venom as he is. These people have a lot of followers.

http://www.infowars.com/milo-and-al...k-to-berkeley-to-confront-violent-snowflakes/

All these alt-right guys work for similar interests. Milo, Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson - on and on and on. Just a bunch of hate mongerers.

When I said there is not much difference between Alex Jones and mainstream media, what I mean was that he is now working with corporate interests. At least before, he might have pretended to be fighting the "system." Now, he is working to strengthen the corrupt the system. But that isn't surprising. Alex Jones was not after truth just like most of these alt-right guys aren't either.

I wasn't serious just so you know. Alex Jones is entertaining but that's about it, and not even funny enough to go out of my way to ever listen to him. I've found value in both the Breitbarts and the HuffPo/Salons of the world on occasion, but Alex Jones is literally just comedy.

For Alex Jones this is a relatively new shtick afaik. He was into any kind of conspiracy during the Dubya years, and while I guess he always had the "American individualist" right-wing libertarian vibe, he's much more political now. I don't think he's part of any kind of elites, he's probably a guy that spread half-bullshit for a living because it was fun, then started believing it more and more, and now he's vindicated as his preferred candidate finally won.

Maybe he qualifies as alt-right now though. I know he called out "the Jewish mafia" a few months ago, the first time he ever got on board with anti-Jewish conspiracies to my knowledge, something that would have been suicidal just a year ago. He's following the bandwagon, ultimately, not any kind of visionary leader of hyper right-wing ideology.
