I wasn't serious just so you know. Alex Jones is entertaining but that's about it, and not even funny enough to go out of my way to ever listen to him. I've found value in both the Breitbarts and the HuffPo/Salons of the world on occasion, but Alex Jones is literally just comedy.

For Alex Jones this is a relatively new shtick afaik. He was into any kind of conspiracy during the Dubya years, and while I guess he always had the "American individualist" right-wing libertarian vibe, he's much more political now. I don't think he's part of any kind of elites, he's probably a guy that spread half-bullshit for a living because it was fun, then started believing it more and more, and now he's vindicated as his preferred candidate finally won.

He has said that he talks to Trump regularly. Trump has appeared on his show a few times I believe - at least once I know of for sure. He has changed his stance on 9/11 to that of the mainstream. He supports the war on terror agenda, etc. There is no more "trutherness" to him anymore. Just another mainstream guy working to enrich the corporate interests.

Everything Infowars seems to report on is negative, divisive and hateful. And all the people Alex has created around him do the same - but add their own "style" to the story. They even have pretty women reporting this stuff.

It's corporate news but with a new spin. It's tailored to a certain crowd of people. They call it alternative media when in fact he works to enhance this corrupt system.

Poor Shep. Those people calling for his head are fucking idiots.
Those people just can't bear to hear anything that contradicts their worldview. SAD

I actually put fox on my favorites on my remote just to check Shep and sometimes Brett Brier. They can be reasonable the rest are trump trash.

Whats sad is besides the main three TV network news channels ABC NBC and CBS there are now THREE conservative Cable news network channels on my Verizon now.

MSNBC - Left
CNN - Middle left
FOX - Far Right Trump lickers (with a couple exceptions)
One America News - Ultra Far right & Trump lickers
Newsmax - Ultra mega Alt right & Trump ultra lickers

Also Network is on AMC tonight @ 10:30pm.

What's happening over at FOX is, IMO, indicative of what's happening to the conservative "movement" in general: CHAOS.

Predictably, FOX don't want journalists with a conscience or any sort of moral bearing that compels them to speak their minds. All they really care to have around the set are talking heads that effectively dramatizes the wants and needs of the guy that signs the paychecks.

And as we have bore witness to, the truth be damned, because the truth either doesn't sell as well as hate and fear or the truth debunks the very propaganda the owner wants to condition its listeners with.

That someone as controversial and anti-democracy as Trump has become our POTUS and have convinced almost half the nation to support him despite how he is firmly intending to replace our present form of gov't with a plutocratic/autocratic one is, as I've said before, insanity defined Yet, he has somehow managed to get this far in his quest.

Like a scammer milking his pyramid scheme, sooner or later the scheme collapses on itself, but with Trump, as with Bush and Cheney, having the presidential get out of jail pass in hand, he will simply walk away from it all, so much richer from playing those chumps that bought into his ruse.

The "biggest bubble" around here are the usual lefty suspects in ATP&N. You guys are in an echo chamber filled with your ilk and just a few dissenting voices. There's a reason that Republicans are in charge of 67 of 98 state partisan legislative chambers, 33 of the 50 Governors, the Presidency, the House, the Senate. It's because the country opposes Democrats and their ridiculous policies. In this small world you have the majority, but in most of the country, you lose.

I'm sure relentless gerrymandering, widespread voter suppression efforts and requiring all elected GOP to vote in lockstep had nothing to do with it. Our democracy is being tested to an extreme not seen since the Civil War-all so the billionaires can get more.

Yea but the majority of americans still voted for a democratic president and their "ridiculous policies."

Repubs sell the best FUD, no doubt. Well, other than maybe the Mossad & the Russians.

It'll be great when Repubs advance the Brownback tax & spending plan nationwide even as Kansans renounce it as failure, huh?

We're going post-truth, baby!

The majority of Americans voting are actually Democrat, they merely get less representation for more votes while Republicans get more representation for fewer votes.

Funny thing though.. the Democrats have been gaining votes while losing seats.

I was referring to the number of people voting Democratic.

What is this based on? Republicans lost 6 seats in the House, while still maintaining a slight majority in the overall popular vote. Republicans lost 2 seats in the Senate, and the popular vote by a large margin. Obviously a weird way to look at things considering how the system works to begin with, and since swings are regular and volatile, but what are you referring to?

Less seats means fewer election wins. More votes doesn't result in fewer wins.
Obviously, like many other areas, you're also not familiar with the concept of gerrymandering.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/03/opinion/sunday/the-great-gerrymander-of-2012.html
Democrats received 1.4 million more votes for the House of Representatives, yet Republicans won control of the House by a 234 to 201 margin. This is only the second such reversal since World War II.
In North Carolina, where the two-party House vote was 51 percent Democratic, 49 percent Republican, the average simulated delegation was seven Democrats and six Republicans. The actual outcome? Four Democrats, nine Republicans — a split that occurred in less than 1 percent of simulations. If districts were drawn fairly, this lopsided discrepancy would hardly ever occur.

When all else fails, resort to personal attacks!

Personal attack eh? I think I could do better than that, anyway the video is a lie, just like 70 percent of what trump says is a lie and you know it. So that makes your post fake news.

That video was a direct recording of CNN. Glad you agree that CNN is lying fake news.

Alex Jones is a loon. Even if you think the "mainstream media" is full of shit, they haven't gone to the lengths of "trutherism" that Jones has.
Trump follows Alex Jones. So who is more looney the loon or the one that follows the loon?
