Hehe, I find it surprising that the only letters of the alphabet that result in an actual webpage are:

www.q.com
www.x.com
www.z.com

Uh, I thought those would have been the first to be grabbed up and used. Seems like the first people on the web would have wanted all the no brainers. LOL :p

Well, I'm not that bored (now). I do recall searching for domain names with the least letters at one point. All the single character names are gone, as are the 2-character ones (I think), and all but a few (obscure) 3-character ones (maybe)? This refers to .com, .net, and .org

The best small domain name I could find for myself was www.uzet.net (which still has nothing on it)

I used to do searches like that all the time. It is quite amazing what can come up.

the reason is, *i think*, that you aren't allowed to register single letters....the ones that are registered were registered before they dissalowed it.

yea, you actually have to do a search on a domain name regestration page to find out which are owned. But it is surprising that only 3 are actual webpages... lemme guess, they're all pr0n??

<< before they dissalowed it >>

why did they disallow it? Did the mods have anything to do with this?

Yeah, it's those evil internet MODS. If you think the ones around here are mean, you ought to see them others. :Q

we used to play a game where we named and searched for wacko porn sites to see if they existed. Most of them did, so we got freaked out and stopped doing it
